Maybe it&#039;s just because, in our (young) lives, black and white is automatically associated with being &quot;old&quot; but I think there&#039;s something about the absence of color that make us feel as though we&#039;re looking back. The George Orwell quote + photograph perfectly matched everything about 1984 (almost to the point of being too clear.)&lt;/p&gt;
